Despite the buzz on social media, there has been no official statement from either the Lahore Qalandars or the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirming Fakhar's appointment. The Qalandars already have a full coaching team, including Dion Ibrahim, Amjad Ali, Riaz Afridi, Kashif Raza, and Muhammad Saddiq. Until an official announcement is made, the claims regarding Fakhar's coaching role appear to be unfounded.

After a thorough examination of the evidence and testimonies, the committee upheld the two-match suspension imposed by Match Referee Roshan Mahanama. According to the PCB, the decision made by the PSL Technical Committee is final and binding. Consequently, Fakhar missed the match against Multan Sultans and will also be absent for the game against Islamabad United on April 9. He is anticipated to return for the match against Peshawar Zalmi on April 11.
