Mohali Trials Showcase Emerging Cricket Talent
Mohali (Punjab) [India], November 25: Last week, the Dream League of India (DLI), the premier Tennis Ball Cricket League in the country, hosted its trials in Mohali, attracting an impressive turnout of 278 players from both junior and senior divisions.
This event marked DLI's inaugural major talent search in Punjab, further enhancing its grassroots cricket initiatives across India.
Taking place at the JP Sports Academy in Derabassi, the trials featured several well-known tennis ball cricket players who also took part, as reported by DLI.
Participants aged between 13 and 18 years (Junior category) and those over 18 years (Senior category) displayed their skills and competitive spirit, all vying for a spot in one of DLI's six teams.
Chetanya Nanda, the founder of Dream League of India, expressed that Mohali has consistently been a hub for cricket talent, and the turnout exemplifies the local enthusiasm.
“The energy, skill level, and determination we observed were truly motivating. I urge major companies to support the journey of these grassroots players,” he stated.
Rishabh Bhatia, another founder of DLI, shared his excitement about the successful trials, noting, “Punjab has responded positively. The presence of renowned tennis ball cricket stars today added to the excitement and inspiration for the young players.”
Initiated by Servotech Sports, the Dream League of India is the largest tennis ball cricket tournament in the nation, featuring six competitive teams divided into junior (ages 13-18) and senior (ages 18+) categories.
League commissioner and actor Sonu Sood encouraged participants, urging them to take full advantage of the trials organized by the League.
After conducting dynamic trials in Gurugram, Delhi, Greater Noida, and Ganaur, DLI is steadily gaining traction across the country.
