Indian Racing Festival Set to Thrill Fans

The Indian Racing Festival (IRF) is making a grand comeback to the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) in Greater Noida after a 13-year hiatus, featuring the F4 Indian Championship and the Indian Racing League (IRL) on October 31 and November 1 for their respective 2026 seasons.

This weekend is expected to deliver thrilling action at the renowned venue, which has previously hosted prestigious events like the Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix and MotoGP Bharat. The F4 title race is heating up, and IRL competitors are ready for their next challenge, according to a recent press release.

Covering a distance of 5.125 kilometers, BIC holds a vital role in the history of Indian motorsport and will serve as the backdrop for two pivotal rounds of the 2026 season. For fans in the Delhi-NCR region, this event presents a chance to witness the excitement and speed of the Indian Racing Festival at a world-class circuit nearby.

Heading into the weekend, the F4 Indian Championship follows an exhilarating third round at the Madras International Circuit, where Luviwe Sambudla from Goa Aces JA Racing delivered an impressive performance.

Starting from the sixth position, Sambudla clinched victory in the first two races and secured third place in the final race, accumulating 138 points and taking the championship lead, 21 points ahead of Aris Kyriakou from Kichcha's Kings Bengaluru.

Ntiyiso Mabunda from Speed Demons Delhi also showcased his skills in Chennai, finishing second in all three races. His remarkable drive from 10th to 2nd in the opening race demonstrated his competitive spirit. Meanwhile, Aaron Mehta of Kolkata Royal Tigers made headlines by winning the third race from pole position, narrowly beating Mabunda by just 0.546 seconds.

At just 15 years, six months, and six days old, Mehta became the youngest winner in Indian F4 history. With Sambudla looking to extend his lead and other drivers eager to close the gap, the fourth round will be a critical test for the championship.

The Indian Racing League is also set to take place at BIC for Round 2, with teams and drivers preparing for an exhilarating weekend at this iconic venue. As the championship unfolds, drivers will aim to capitalize on the challenges and enhance their standings in the season.

The return of both the F4 Indian Championship and the IRL to BIC marks a significant moment for Indian motorsport. With the F4 title race intensifying and the IRL entering its second round, fans can expect competitive racing, thrilling contests, and plenty of action on the track.
