Day Three Highlights of the All India Police Wrestling Cluster
On the third day of the 75th All India Police Wrestling Cluster 2026-27, held at the Haryana Police Academy in Madhuban, athletes showcased remarkable skills across various sports.
The events included men’s and women’s wrestling, boxing, arm-wrestling, and bodybuilding, with participants demonstrating their strength, talent, and competitive spirit.
In the men’s freestyle wrestling category, Tarun Kumar from CISF triumphed over Vinay from BSF in the 92-kg division, securing a spot in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, the semi-final match in the 57-kg category will feature Manoj Pal from CISF against Prashant from Karnataka Police.
In women’s wrestling, Pushpa Yadav of UP Police clinched the gold medal by defeating N. Chanu from SSB in the 62-kg category. Additionally, in the 57-kg category, BSF’s Manju emerged victorious over Neetu from SSB to take home the gold.
In women’s boxing, BSF’s Lakshmi advanced to the next round after defeating Maharashtra’s Pooja Rajan in the 51-54 kg category. Assam’s Nisha Das also progressed by overcoming Meghalaya’s Pengjanai in the 54-57 kg category.
For men’s boxing, Harshdeep from SLB won against Pankaj Saini of Punjab Police in the 55-60 kg category, while Jitendra Chaudhary from CISF defeated Lalit from BSF in the 50-55 kg category to move forward.
In arm-wrestling, Alan Sun of Meghalaya Police claimed gold in the 90-kg category by defeating Gurlal Singh from Punjab Police. In the 110-kg category, Sukhdarshan Pal from Punjab Police won gold against Ajay from Tamil Nadu Police, with Vipan from Haryana Police taking the bronze.
In the women’s arm-wrestling event, Deepa from Uttar Pradesh secured the gold medal by defeating V. Somya from Tamil Nadu in the 90-kg category.
