Taunton [UK], June 3: In a remarkable display of batting, England Women successfully chased down a challenging target of 181, defeating India Women by six wickets in the final T20I match held at Taunton on Tuesday. This victory secured them the three-match series with a scoreline of 2-1.

India, batting first, set a competitive score of 180/5 in their 20 overs, thanks to captain Harmanpreet Kaur's impressive unbeaten half-century and significant contributions from the middle order.

Harmanpreet led the charge with a solid 56 runs, while Deepti Sharma added 32 and Jemimah Rodrigues contributed a brisk 29.

At one point, India seemed poised for a larger total, but England's bowlers made crucial breakthroughs in the latter part of the innings, showcasing disciplined bowling during the death overs.

For England, Lauren Bell was the standout bowler, taking two wickets for 36 runs. Captain Charlotte Dean and Linsey Smith each claimed one wicket, with figures of 1/33 and 1/40, respectively.
