England Unveils 16-Member Squads for Sri Lanka White-Ball Series

England's Upcoming Series Against Sri Lanka

England has officially announced its 16-member squads for the forthcoming home white-ball series against Sri Lanka.

The series will kick off with a trio of T20I matches, starting in Southampton on September 15, followed by games in Cardiff on September 17 and Manchester on September 19.

Following the T20Is, the teams will transition to the ODI format, with the first ODI set for Chester-le-Street on September 22, the second in Leeds on September 24, and the series finale at The Oval on September 27.

Jamie Overton has been included in both squads after missing the previous series against India due to an injury.

Opener Aneurin Donald has received his first call-up to the T20I team, while uncapped bowler Henry Crocombe has been selected for his first ODI.

Sam Curran and Phil Salt will not participate in the series as they are still recovering from their injuries.

Meanwhile, Jacob Bethell is making good progress in his rehabilitation after successfully undergoing knee surgery earlier this week.

England recently had a successful home white-ball series against India, winning 4-0 in T20Is and 2-1 in ODIs. In contrast, Sri Lanka managed to win the ODI series but lost the T20Is against the West Indies.
