England Opts to Bowl First Against India in Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy Opener
Match Overview
In the first Test of the five-match series for the newly established Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, England's captain Ben Stokes won the toss and chose to bowl first against India on Friday.
India introduced left-handed batsman B Sai Sudharsan for his Test debut, while experienced middle-order player Karun Nair returned to the lineup alongside all-rounder Shardul Thakur.
During the toss, Indian captain Shubman Gill announced that Sudharsan would take the No 3 batting position.
