New Delhi [India] - On September 14, the Delhi Toofans announced the appointment of Fabio Menta as their Head Coach, ushering in a new era for the team as they gear up for the fifth season of the Prime Volleyball League (PVL).
This strategic move comes at a crucial time for the franchise, following the recent player auction for Season 5 and in anticipation of the league's kickoff on November 30.
With the PVL gaining recognition from the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) as India's premier professional volleyball league, the upcoming season is poised to enhance opportunities for Indian athletes to compete alongside global talent.
Fabio Menta brings over 20 years of coaching experience from various professional clubs, national teams, and international development initiatives across Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
As a FIVB Level II coach and instructor affiliated with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Menta has extensive experience in both indoor and beach volleyball. His roles have included technical director, coach educator, and mentor to players and coaches worldwide.
His impressive coaching achievements include winning a national championship in the Bahamas, securing a bronze medal in the Italian Cup, and finishing third at the Suomen Cup in Finland. Recently, he contributed to Creamline's three-title success in the Philippine Pro League in 2025 and assisted ZUS Coffee in earning a silver medal in 2026, while also guiding Letran College to an NCAA gold medal. Additionally, he developed 'The Science of Modern Volleyball,' an educational platform dedicated to analyzing contemporary volleyball systems and coaching development.
The Delhi Toofans have established a solid competitive base in the PVL, having reached the finals in their inaugural season in 2024. The franchise now aims to build on that initial success and maintain strong performances as the league continues to grow and attract more players, coaches, and fans.
