David Warner Faces Legal Trouble

On Tuesday, former Australian cricket star David Warner was apprehended for driving under the influence after exceeding the legal alcohol limit during a random breath test in Maroubra.

According to reports from a local news outlet, Warner is scheduled to appear in court next month.

The incident occurred when Maroubra police stopped Warner's vehicle before reaching the designated testing area on Malabar Road, where he tested positive for alcohol.

The 39-year-old cricketer, who is currently playing for Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), recorded a blood alcohol level of 0.104, which is more than double the legal limit. He was subsequently taken to a nearby police station and later released.

Despite the ongoing legal matters, Warner's travel plans for the PSL 2026 remain unaffected.

He was in Sydney for personal reasons, taking advantage of a week-long break before the Kings' upcoming match against Peshawar Zalmi on April 9.

Currently, Warner's team, the Karachi Kings, is positioned second in the PSL standings, having accumulated six points from three games, trailing behind the Multan Sultans, who lead with eight points from five matches.

In the PSL this season, Warner has scored a total of 93 runs, including one half-century.
