David Miller's Critical Mistake Costs Delhi Capitals in IPL Clash
Delhi Capitals Face Defeat Due to Miller's Error
In a dramatic turn of events during the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, David Miller's miscalculation proved costly for the Delhi Capitals (DC) as they fell to the Gujarat Titans (GT) on April 8. With the game on the line, South Africa's Miller had the opportunity to secure at least a Super Over but failed to capitalize on it.
As the Capitals needed eight runs from three balls, Miller hit a six off Prasidh Krishna, reducing the target to two runs required from two balls, putting DC in a strong position. However, on the penultimate ball of the match, Miller opted to pull a delivery to fine leg instead of taking a single, which would have left the team needing just one run to guarantee a Super Over.
Instead, he sent Kuldeep Yadav back, leaving the Capitals with two runs to chase on the final ball. Prasidh delivered a well-timed slower ball that Miller missed, and as the duo attempted a quick single, Jos Buttler's accurate throw hit the stumps, sealing a one-run victory for the Titans.
