David Miller and Marco Jansen Return to South Africa's T20I Squad for England Series
Proteas Announce Squad for Upcoming White-Ball Series
Johannesburg [South Africa], August 23: Explosive batsman David Miller is set to make his comeback to the T20I squad after last participating in the home series against Pakistan last year. The South African team has revealed its lineup for the white-ball series against England, commencing in September.
The current squad, which has been competing in the white-ball series against Australia, has been bolstered by significant player returns. Miller's last appearance for South Africa in any format was during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where he impressively scored a century in the semi-final against New Zealand, despite the team's loss.
All-rounder Marco Jansen is also rejoining the T20I setup after missing the recent T20I series against Australia, according to ICC reports.
Additionally, Kagiso Rabada, who was sidelined from the ongoing ODI series in Australia due to an ankle injury, has been included in both the ODI and T20I squads for the matches against England.
South Africa enters this series following an ODI victory over Australia, although they narrowly lost the preceding T20I series 2-1.
The Proteas are scheduled to play three ODIs and three T20Is against England, starting on September 2.
This T20I series serves as a crucial opportunity for preparation ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup set to take place next year in India and Sri Lanka.
