Chennai Singams Announce Leadership for ISPL Season 3
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 1: The Chennai Singams have officially named Ankur Singh as their Captain and Ketan Mhatre as Vice-Captain for the upcoming third season of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL). Additionally, the franchise revealed a reward structure that includes a ₹1,00,000 prize for the 'Man of the Match' and ₹50,000 for the Impact Player of the Match during each victory.
This announcement took place during a New Year Fan Meet & Greet event in Mumbai, where the Chennai Singams community gathered to celebrate the new year with their fans, as stated in a press release from ISPL.
The atmosphere was lively as supporters interacted with the Chennai Singams team, engaged in various activities, and met the players. Notable attendees included Co-Owners Rajdip Gupta and Sandip Gupta, CEO Rahuul Patil, Chief Mentor Deepak Shinde, Head Coach Chandrakant Shinde, Assistant Head Coach Nilesh Pardeshi, and Strategist Ashishkumar Jaiswal.
Among the squad members present were 'Hard Hitter' Ketan Mhatre, 'West Bengal's Pride' Jagannath Sarkar, 'God of Tennis Ball Cricket' Krishna Satpute, 'All-Rounder' Ankur Singh, and 'Ace Pacer' Anurag Sarshar, along with other players like Sarfaraz Khan, Rajesh Sorte, Mohammed Nadeem, Ashish Pal, Aryan Kharkar, Aman Yadav, Dheeraj Singh, Nagesh Wadekar, Sambhaji Patil, Ankit Yadav, Moyoddin Shaikh, Sunil Kumar, and Ganesh Shillikyatar.
During the Fan Meet and Greet, Co-Owner Rajdip Gupta emphasized the importance of players and fans in defining the team. He expressed excitement about the new season, stating, 'We have built a strong squad this year and are thrilled to announce Ankur Singh as Captain and Ketan Mhatre as Vice-Captain. In our winning matches, the Man of the Match will receive ₹1,00,000, while the Impact Player of the Match will earn ₹50,000 from the Chennai Singams management, not merely as a reward but as a source of motivation.'
The Chennai Singams are set to kick off their ISPL Season 3 journey against the Tiigers of Kolkata on January 10, 2026, at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat.
