Chambal Ghariyals Advance to Final of MPL T20 Scindia Cup 2026

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], June 8: The Chambal Ghariyals have made history by becoming the first team to reach the finals of the women's segment of the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup 2026. They achieved this milestone with a convincing six-wicket victory over the Bundelkhand Bulls at Daly College, Indore.

The Ghariyals showcased their dominance once again, marking their fourth consecutive win with a stellar bowling performance against the Bulls, as reported in a press release.

After winning the toss, the Ghariyals opted to bowl first, and their bowlers made an immediate impact, maintaining pressure throughout the innings. The Bundelkhand Bulls struggled significantly, losing five wickets for just 32 runs within the first ten overs.

In a bid to salvage their innings, Ananya Dubey and Mahi Thakur formed a crucial partnership, adding 67 runs for the sixth wicket. Their efforts helped stabilize the innings after a rocky start.

The partnership was finally broken when Vaishnavi Singh dismissed Ananya, who scored a commendable 38 runs off 32 balls. Following this wicket, the Ghariyals tightened their grip, claiming three more wickets and limiting the Bundelkhand Bulls to a total of 102 runs for 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Mahi remained not out at 30 runs from 39 balls.

Anamika Raghuwanshi was the standout bowler, achieving remarkable figures of 3 wickets for just 11 runs in four overs, including a maiden over. Dhani Buchade also shone with 2 wickets for 17 runs, while Aditi Panwar and Vaishnavi Singh contributed with one wicket each.

The Chambal Ghariyals began their innings steadily, thanks to openers Kanishka Thakur and Jincy George, who put together 39 runs for the first wicket.

However, the momentum shifted when Kanishka, now the holder of the Orange cap, was dismissed on the second last ball of the powerplay for 23 runs off 18 balls. A couple of quick wickets followed, putting the Ghariyals under pressure as they found themselves at 80 for 4.

With the match hanging in the balance, Rahila Firdous and Anamika Raghuwanshi rose to the occasion, providing the necessary stability. They batted carefully, ensuring no further setbacks and guiding their team to victory.

Rahila finished unbeaten on 28 runs from 24 balls, while Anamika contributed a steady 13 runs off 10 balls, leading the Chambal Ghariyals to another successful chase.

The anticipation now builds to see which team—Bundelkhand Bulls, Gwalior Shernis, or Royal Nimar Eagles—will join the Chambal Ghariyals in the final, set to take place on June 13 at the Holkar Stadium in Indore.
