New Delhi, August 5: The Central Delhi Kings showcased their prowess in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 by achieving a commanding nine-wicket win against Purani Dilli 6 in a rain-affected 15-over match held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday. This victory was largely attributed to an outstanding century by Yash Dhull.


After being invited to bat first, Purani Dilli 6 faced an early setback as Central Delhi Kings' bowler Money Grewal dismantled their top order. The Kings quickly reduced their opponents to a precarious 55/5 by the ninth over, putting them in a challenging position.


In a bid to stabilize the innings, Rohan Rathi and Ashwini Chillar formed a vital partnership, adding 85 runs for the sixth wicket. Rathi played aggressively, scoring 46 runs off just 21 balls, while Chillar provided stability with a measured 38 runs off 29 balls.
