New Delhi, December 6: Renowned Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja celebrated his 37th birthday on Saturday, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious cricketing career.


Jadeja first gained attention in age-group cricket as a skilled spinner and a reliable lower-order batsman. Since his debut in 2009, he has elevated his game to the point where he is a valuable asset in any international team, whether as a specialist bowler or batsman.


His rise to prominence began during the 2008 Under-19 World Cup, where he was one of India's joint-highest wicket-takers, claiming 10 wickets in six matches at an impressive average of 13.20. This performance was pivotal in leading the team, captained by Virat Kohli, to victory in Kuala Lumpur.


Jadeja played a crucial role in the Rajasthan Royals' inaugural IPL title win in 2008 under Shane Warne's captaincy, contributing 135 runs in nine innings at a strike rate of 131.06. He made his international debut in 2009, scoring a resilient 60* in a match where India faced defeat.
