Brasilia [Brazil], May 14: The Brazilian Football Confederation has officially renewed Carlo Ancelotti's contract, ensuring his role as head coach of the national team through to the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
This extension highlights the CBF's endorsement of Ancelotti's contributions and the trust he has garnered from both the players and Brazilian supporters since he took over in May 2025, as noted on the CBF's website.
Since his appointment, the Italian coach has played a pivotal role in enhancing Brazilian football, collaborating closely with various sectors of the CBF and fostering a relationship characterized by mutual respect, effective work, and stability.
“I arrived in Brazil a year ago. From the first moment, I grasped the significance of football in this country. Over the past year, we have been striving to elevate the Brazilian National Team back to the pinnacle of global football. However, the CBF and I aspire for more—more victories, more time, and more effort. We are thrilled to announce our continued partnership for another four years, leading up to the 2030 World Cup. I extend my gratitude to the CBF for their trust and to Brazil for the warm welcome and affection,” Ancelotti expressed.
CBF President Samir Xaud celebrated the renewal of Ancelotti's contract, emphasizing that this decision aligns with the organization's sporting vision for the future.
“Today marks a historic moment for the CBF and Brazilian football. Renewing Carlo Ancelotti's contract is a significant step in our commitment to providing the five-time world champion national team with a robust, modern, and competitive framework. We work tirelessly to maintain Brazil's status at the forefront of global football while also focusing on the development of other national teams, CBF-organized competitions, and the strengthening of clubs and federations nationwide,” stated Samir Xaud.
CBF Vice-President Gustavo Dias also underscored the significance of extending Ancelotti's contract, noting that mutual trust facilitated this agreement. He praised the decision.

Carlo Ancelotti was appointed as the head coach of the Brazilian National Team in May 2025. In his first year, he led the Selecão in ten matches, achieving five victories, two draws, and three losses, with the team scoring 18 goals and conceding eight.
