Bhopal Leopards Prepare for MPL T20 Scindia Cup

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], May 28: The reigning champions, Bhopal Leopards, have revealed their lineup for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup. The team boasts promising players such as Aniket Verma and Arshad Khan.

Abhishek Mohan Gupta, representing the Bhopal Leopards, which is backed by HMG Sports, expressed optimism about the team's prospects in the tournament. He stated, “Our squad is a well-rounded mix of seasoned players and emerging talents. We are thrilled about the upcoming season and believe that our team will exhibit an aggressive and positive style of play. The MPL has evolved into an excellent platform for players to demonstrate their skills, and we are eager for a successful season this year.”

The Bhopal Leopards will kick off their campaign against the Indore Pink Panthers on June 4 during an evening match at Holkar Stadium, as per a recent announcement.

The new season of the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup is set to commence on June 3, with the Gwalior Cheetahs facing off against the Ujjain Falcons in the inaugural match of the men's tournament at Holkar Stadium in Indore.

MPL 2026 is poised to be the largest edition of the tournament to date, featuring an expanded format that includes 10 men's teams and five women's franchises. The tournament continues to expand each season, becoming a vital platform for young cricketers from Madhya Pradesh to showcase their talents.

The men's tournament has further grown with the introduction of three new franchises: Malwa Stallions, Ujjain Falcons, and Royal Nimar Eagles. They will compete alongside the defending champions Bhopal Leopards, Bundelkhand Bulls, Chambal Ghariyals, Gwalior Cheetahs, Indore Pink Panthers, Jabalpur Royal Lions, and Rewa Jaguars.

The women's competition has also seen growth with the addition of Gwalior Shernis and Royal Nimar Eagles, joining Bhopal Wolves, Bundelkhand Bulls, and Chambal Ghariyals in the five-team tournament.

With an increase in teams, larger squads, and more matches, MPL 2026 is set to offer an exhilarating season while further enhancing the cricketing landscape in Madhya Pradesh.
