Tchouameni Clarifies Relationship with Valverde

New York [US], June 2: Aurelien Tchouameni, the midfielder for Real Madrid and the French national team, has refuted claims of a serious rift with his teammate Federico Valverde. He emphasized that the media's portrayal of a training-ground incident was significantly overstated, asserting that there are "absolutely no issues" between them as they both concentrate on securing titles for their club.

The French player explained that reports of a physical confrontation were incorrect, reaffirming their commitment to helping Real Madrid bounce back after a challenging season without trophies.

The controversy arose from two separate incidents involving the midfielders towards the conclusion of a disappointing campaign for Real Madrid. Reports indicated that during training, the two players had altercations, with one incident resulting in Valverde suffering a forehead injury that required medical care after he hit his head on an object during a heated exchange.

In response to the incidents, Real Madrid reportedly imposed fines of 500,000 Euros on both players. Following the events, Tchouameni and Valverde issued public apologies.

Earlier, Valverde attributed the incident to the pressures and exhaustion of a demanding season, firmly denying that the disagreement escalated to physical violence.

He stated, "I had an incident with a teammate stemming from a play during training, where the fatigue of competition and sheer frustration caused everything to get blown out of proportion. During the argument, I accidentally struck a table, sustaining a small cut on my forehead that required a routine visit to the hospital. My teammate [Tchouameni] did not hit me, nor did I hit him. Although I understand that for you it might be easier to believe that we beat the hell out of each other or that he intentionally injured me, that is not what happened."

Now, Tchouameni has also spoken out, criticizing the excessive media focus on the situation and denying any serious conflict between him and Valverde. He also dismissed rumors linking him to a transfer to Manchester United this summer.

While speaking at the French national team's training camp, he remarked, "Certain events have occurred, and you’ve all seen the coverage. But this situation has been blown out of proportion. At Real Madrid, everything provokes a massive reaction. Still, a lot of nonsense has appeared in the press. I have read that there was a fight and that I am supposed to have hit him. That is simply not true. I would not go into any further detail. The most important thing is that the club knows what happened. So many things happen in the dressing room that the media never find out about. Life goes on. Fede and I have one clear goal: to win titles with Real Madrid. There are absolutely no problems."

Tchouameni's comments seem aimed at quelling the rumors regarding his relationship with Valverde, as both players now turn their attention to preparing for the upcoming season and striving for major achievements with Real Madrid.
