Assam Cricket Association Unveils Squad for Ranji Trophy 2026-27 Season

Guwahati (Assam) [India], September 23: The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has officially revealed its lineup for the initial two matches of the Ranji Trophy 2026-27 season, appointing Denish Das as the captain of the Senior Men's Cricket Team.

The Assam team is set to kick off its Ranji Trophy journey against Punjab and Tripura, with the tournament slated to begin on October 11.

Denish Das will lead a squad of 15 players for these opening matches, featuring seasoned players like Sibsankar Roy, Rajveer Singh, Nibir Deka, Rishav Das, and Swarupam Purkayastha.

The complete squad also includes Anurag Talukdar, Sumit Ghadigaonkar, Mohit Thakur, Amlanjyoti Das, Mukhtar Hussain, Sunil Lachit, Dipjyoti Saikia, Roshan Alam, and Bishal Newar.

In addition, the Assam Cricket Association has designated nine standby players, which consist of Rituraj Biswas, Ayush Agarwal, Darshan Rajbangshi, Hridip Deka, Akash Sengupta, Bhargab Pratim Lahkar, Abdul Ajij Kuraishi, Rahul Singh, and Bishal Saha.

Under Denish Das's leadership, Assam aims to start the new domestic season on a high note as they embark on their Ranji Trophy 2026-27 campaign.
