Ashutosh Sharma, an all-rounder for the Delhi Capitals, has officially signed with Hampshire for the upcoming English One-Day Cup season. The county team announced the signing on July 20, confirming that the 27-year-old Indian cricketer will be part of the entire 50-over domestic tournament in England. The GMR Group, which co-owns both the Delhi Capitals and Hampshire, likely played a role in facilitating Sharma's move to the English competition. Hampshire's Director of Cricket, Giles White, expressed enthusiasm about the signing, stating, “We’re really pleased to sign Ashutosh (Sharma) for the One-Day Cup. He is a player of great potential and has done well for Delhi Capitals in the IPL recently, so he knows what it’s like to perform to a high standard.
