Arjun Tendulkar's IPL Debut

Arjun Tendulkar, the son of cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar, has officially made his debut for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) during the IPL 2026 season. He was named in the starting XI for LSG's final league match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Ekana Stadium. With LSG already eliminated from the tournament, the outcome of this match holds no significance for them. However, all eyes will be on Arjun as fans eagerly anticipate his performance. He joined LSG through a trade prior to the IPL 2026 mini-auction, earning a salary of Rs 30 lakh. Previously, he had re-signed with the Mumbai Indians (MI) for the same amount during the IPL 2025 mega-auction before being traded to LSG.

Overview of Arjun Tendulkar's IPL Journey

Arjun began his IPL journey with the Mumbai Indians in 2021, joining the team at a base price of Rs 20 lakh during the mini-auction. Throughout that season, he remained on the bench. In the IPL 2022 mega-auction, MI retained him for Rs 30 lakh, despite interest from the Gujarat Titans. He finally made his IPL debut in 2023, taking 3 wickets across four matches. Under Hardik Pandya's captaincy in IPL 2024, he played just one match. Although MI re-signed him in the IPL 2025 mega-auction, he spent most of the season on the sidelines. Now, with only one match played in IPL 2026, Arjun aims to leave a lasting impression to secure more opportunities in the upcoming seasons.
