Arjun Tendulkar's Dual Focus: Marriage and Cricket


As the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) approaches, Arjun Tendulkar is diligently preparing to make his debut with the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), even amidst his recent wedding celebrations. The son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun played a match just a day after marrying Saaniya Chandhok. Previously part of the Mumbai Indians (MI) for five years, he transitioned to LSG following a trade deal. Arjun had been with MI since 2021, initially signed for Rs. 20 Lakhs, and was retained in subsequent auctions for Rs. 30 Lakhs. His salary at LSG remains unchanged.


Despite the wedding festivities, Arjun participated in the semifinal of the 2026 DY Patil T20 Cup for DY Patil Blue against Mumbai Customs, where his team unfortunately lost by five wickets. In this match, the 26-year-old managed only nine runs off 14 balls and bowled one over, conceding 20 runs without taking a wicket. Prior to his wedding, he also played in the last league match against Canara Bank, contributing to a strong team led by Shashank Singh, which included notable players like Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Jitesh Sharma, and Mayank Yadav.
