Anvay Dravid Selected for U19 Tour
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 11: Anvay Dravid, the son of former Indian captain Rahul Dravid, has been included in the India Under-19 cricket team as the Junior Cricket Committee revealed the squad for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka on Thursday.
This tour will consist of three one-day matches followed by two multi-day games, offering the young players essential experience in both limited-overs and longer formats of the game.
Anvay, a right-handed wicketkeeper-batter, previously represented India B Under-19s in a one-day tri-series against Afghanistan Under-19s at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru in November 2025. In his debut match, he unfortunately got out on the first ball but made a mark with two catches behind the stumps.
Recently, he captained Karnataka's Under-19 team to the quarter-finals of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy, where he was one of the standout players, scoring 220 runs in the tournament, which was the second-highest for his team, with an impressive average of 55.00 across six innings.
The tour will kick off with three one-day matches on July 4, 6, and 9, all scheduled in Hambantota, starting at 10 am local time. The first four-day match will take place from July 13 to 16 in Galle, followed by the second from July 20 to 23 in Colombo.
