New Delhi, April 6: The nominees for the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for March include New Zealand's captain Amelia Kerr, Australia's Beth Mooney, and South Africa's Ayabonga Khaka.


Amelia has showcased her all-round skills against Zimbabwe and South Africa, positioning herself for a potential third ICC Player of the Month accolade. Beth has been consistent with her batting against India and the West Indies, while Ayabonga led the wicket-taking charts during South Africa’s T20I series in New Zealand and delivered a standout performance in their first ODI.


In March, Amelia accumulated 176 runs at a strike rate of 78.57 across four ODIs and took 18 wickets with an impressive economy of 3.77. She was named Player of the Series as New Zealand triumphed over Zimbabwe 3-0 in ODIs, notably taking 7-34 in the second match.


During six T20Is, she scored 276 runs at a strike rate of 158.62 and claimed six wickets, maintaining an extraordinary streak of 11 consecutive scores of 30 or more in this format. As the top-ranked all-rounder in T20Is, she was also recognized as Player of the Series in New Zealand's 4-1 T20I series victory over South Africa.


Beth Mooney scored 171 runs in two ODIs, including an unbeaten 106 in the final match against India in Hobart, securing a 3-0 series win, and added 65 against the West Indies in Basseterre.


In T20Is, she gathered 107 runs at a strike rate of 128.91, highlighted by a match-winning 79 off 55 balls in the first T20I against the West Indies in Kingstown.


Ayabonga Khaka was the top wicket-taker in the T20I series in New Zealand, claiming eight wickets in four matches. She continued her strong form with a remarkable 6-56 in the first ODI against New Zealand in Christchurch, contributing to a thrilling victory for South Africa.
