Adil Rashid's Historic Milestone Awaits

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 4: Veteran spinner Adil Rashid from England is on the brink of achieving a remarkable milestone. He is just four wickets shy of overtaking the legendary Darren Gough to become the fourth highest wicket-taker for England across all formats.


Currently, Rashid boasts 463 wickets from 324 matches, maintaining an average of 29.6. This includes four five-wicket hauls. In comparison, Gough has 466 wickets from only 218 matches, with an impressive average of 27.26 and 11 five-wicket hauls to his name.


Rashid's next challenge will be against India in the semi-final of the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, set to take place at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai this Thursday.


In the current T20 World Cup, Rashid has been in exceptional form, claiming 11 wickets in 7 matches with an average of 19.00 and an economy rate of 7.83, making him England's top wicket-taker in the tournament and fifth overall.
