In Abu Dhabi, the Royal Champs secured their inaugural victory in the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10, with USA's Aaron Jones playing a crucial role in their seven-wicket triumph over the Northern Warriors at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
This win comes after a string of narrow defeats, showcasing Jones' all-around skills that highlight his importance to both his franchise and national team.
"Achieving our first win is an amazing feeling. We've faced tight matches, but this time, everything came together—batting, bowling, and fielding were all on point," he expressed in a statement.
Jones commended the Royal Champs' management for fostering an environment where players can excel, attributing their success to the support provided by the team leadership.
"The management of Royal Champs has been exceptional, truly world-class. From the beginning, they ensured we had all the resources necessary to succeed. When players feel appreciated, it motivates them to perform for the franchise," he remarked.
He further emphasized the franchise's comprehensive approach to player welfare.

Additionally, Jones noted the significant impact of playing alongside seasoned professionals during the ADT10.
"Being in the same dressing room as players like Shakib Al Hasan, Jason Roy, and Isuru Udana has been incredibly beneficial for my growth. Their professionalism and ability to read the game and manage pressure are lessons that can't be found in coaching manuals. They've been instrumental in my adaptation and improvement," he stated.
As the USA prepares for the upcoming T20 World Cup, Jones is optimistic about their chances, saying, "Facing teams like India and Pakistan is a dream come true. They are top-tier teams, but T20 cricket can be unpredictable. We've previously defeated Pakistan, and we believe we can advance to the next stage."
He added, "People may underestimate us, which is fine. However, in T20s, rankings aren't everything; it's about execution on the day. We possess the talent and confidence to create significant upsets."
Reflecting on his experiences in Abu Dhabi, he said, "I truly enjoy playing cricket here. The facilities are top-notch, providing everything a professional cricketer needs to excel.
