Cricket Ireland Reveals Comprehensive Home Schedule
Cricket Ireland has announced an action-packed summer for both its men's and women's teams, featuring a series of significant matches that highlight a pivotal year for the sport.
Men's Team Summer Fixtures
The men's team will kick off the season by welcoming the 2021 ICC World Test Champions, New Zealand, to Belfast from May 27 to May 30. This will be followed by a two-match T20I series against India scheduled for June 26 and 28. Later, from August 5 to 14, Ireland will host Afghanistan for a five-match ODI series.
Women's Team Prepares for Key Competitions
On the other hand, the women's team is gearing up for the fourth edition of the ICC Women's Championship. As part of this cycle, Ireland will host teams such as India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and the West Indies, while also touring England, Australia, Zimbabwe, and Sri Lanka. Their campaign will begin with a home series against the West Indies in July, followed by away matches against England in September and Zimbabwe in early 2027.
Additionally, Ireland will participate in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in England and Wales, starting June 12. They are placed in Group B alongside England, defending champions New Zealand, Scotland, Sri Lanka, and the West Indies. To prepare for this prestigious tournament, Ireland will host a tri-series featuring West Indies and Pakistan beginning May 28.
