The International Cricket Council (ICC) is set to announce the schedule for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027 in Cape Town this Thursday. This event will kick off the one-year countdown to the tournament, which is slated to begin on October 2, 2027, with the final match scheduled for Sunday, November 21, 2027. Additionally, the ticket ballot for fans will open, as indicated in a recent press release.

Out of the 14 teams participating, ten will secure their places by the qualification deadline of September 30. Hosts South Africa and Zimbabwe will automatically qualify, while eight teams will earn their spots based on the ICC ODI rankings. The teams expected to join the hosts include India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Australia, England, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh. The remaining four teams will be determined through the Qualifiers, which are set to take place early next year. Notably, the two-time champions, West Indies, will also need to qualify to participate in this prestigious event.
