WWE Evolution 2025 Faces Scheduling Challenges

The upcoming WWE Evolution 2025 event is raising eyebrows due to its scheduling conflicts. Set to take place on a weekend already filled with a Saturday Night’s Main Event and an NXT premium live event, many WWE Superstars are questioning the rationale behind hosting such a significant event at this time.

During a discussion on The Hump, Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful Select addressed concerns regarding the timing of WWE Evolution 2025. He suggested that the potential underperformance of the event could be attributed to rushed planning and a lack of time for the creative team to develop compelling storylines.

Sapp shared insights from conversations with female WWE talent, many of whom believe that the event is positioned for failure. They highlighted that it coincides with the AEW All In Texas weekend, is located near a Beyoncé concert, and falls during the MLB All-Star weekend, which could lead to hotel shortages in the area.

“So a lot of the women that I was speaking to felt, a lot of them felt like it was set up. That, one, it was put on All In weekend, across the street from a Beyoncé concert, during MLB All-Star weekend when a lot of the hotels were going to be bought up in the area. They weren’t necessarily thrilled with that, but it was hastily produced,” Sapp reported, reflecting the sentiments of the WWE female locker room.

Typically, WWE events feature five matches, but Evolution 2025 is expected to have a larger lineup of 7-8 matches, showcasing both past and present female Superstars. However, the rushed planning could impact these arrangements.

Scheduled for Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, WWE Evolution 2025 will be broadcast live on both Netflix and Peacock. This event is set to air just after the Saturday Night’s Main Event, WWE NXT Great American Bash, and AEW’s All In: Texas. The confirmed matches include:

– Women’s World Championship Match: IYO SKY (c) vs. Rhea Ripley
