I hope he continues to shine, especially on the international stage, where he has also excelled in the IPL. He is a great individual and a fantastic player."

Gayle Comments on West Indies' Record Run-Chase

Gayle also discussed the West Indies' remarkable run-chase against India in the second T20I, where they successfully chased down a target of 250 runs. He praised the performances of captain Shai Hope, who scored a quickfire century, and Sherfane Rutherford, who contributed significantly with his explosive innings. Gayle noted, "Kudos to Shai Hope for leading from the front; he is in fantastic form. However, the bowlers might feel disheartened as chasing 240 or 250 runs has become relatively easy in T20 cricket. The toss plays a crucial role, especially in Indian conditions where the pitches are flat and dew can complicate matters for bowlers. I'm pleased the West Indies leveled the series and hope they can win the toss and the series."
