Pujara's Observations on Brook's Performance

Former Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara expressed his thoughts on Harry Brook's impressive century against India during the third day of the first Test at Headingley. Pujara noted that Brook's aggressive batting style reminded him of Rishabh Pant, suggesting that the English player exhibits a similar fearless approach. Despite falling just short of a century at 99 runs, Brook played a pivotal role in extending England's lead.

Reflecting on Brook's development, Pujara stated, 'I witnessed his growth when I played for Yorkshire, and since his first-class debut, he has evolved significantly. He is now a key player for the England team, demonstrating an understanding of his responsibilities and executing shots that few can manage.'

'I see a hint of Rishabh Pant in him; while their styles differ, both players are unafraid and aim to unsettle bowlers. They apply pressure, especially when the team faces challenges,' he added.
