In a recent discussion, Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara highlighted former Pakistan star Younis Khan as the superior player against spin bowling, even when compared to contemporary legends like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Steve Smith.

During a video shared by ESPNcricinfo, Pujara faced a challenging task of identifying a player who excels against spinners. After considering a few names, he mentioned England's Joe Root, stating, "Maybe" when asked if Root was better.

When it came to Virat Kohli, Pujara acknowledged, "I would say par, as his statistics indicate he is proficient against spin." He also noted that while Steve Smith and Kane Williamson have impressive records, they didn't sway his opinion on spin play.

Ultimately, when Younis Khan's name was brought up, Pujara conceded, "I would have to say he is better than me." Younis was known for his exceptional technique and aggressive batting style against spinners, accumulating 4,449 runs in 151 innings with an impressive average of 75.40.

In comparison, Kohli has scored 3,938 runs at an average of 55.46, while Smith has 4,083 runs at 60.94. Kane Williamson has 3,784 runs at 65.24, and Joe Root leads with 4,957 runs at an average of 60.45 in 209 innings.
