Chennai Super Kings Seek Redemption Against RCB in IPL 2025

CSK's Struggles in IPL 2025
As the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) prepare to face the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, batting coach Michael Hussey has expressed his support for the team despite their disappointing performance this season.
Under the leadership of MS Dhoni, CSK has only secured two victories out of ten matches, accumulating just four points in the ongoing 18th edition of the lucrative league.
Unfortunately, the Super Kings have been ruled out of playoff contention due to their lackluster showing throughout the tournament.
Historic Playoff Miss for CSK
This marks the first instance in IPL history where CSK has failed to qualify for the playoffs in two consecutive seasons.
Hussey commented, "The squad is highly motivated. Some players will have the opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities at this level. They take immense pride in representing CSK, which has a massive fan base. The players are aware of their responsibilities and are committed to giving their all in every match."
Upcoming Match Against RCB
CSK is set to clash with the RCB, led by Rajat Patidar, in the 52nd match of IPL 2025 on Saturday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The five-time champions are currently struggling at the bottom of the points table, with their chances of advancing to the playoffs nearly extinguished.
In contrast, RCB is performing well, sitting third in the standings with seven wins and three losses from ten matches, boasting a net run rate of 0.521. They recently achieved a significant victory over the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
