Celebrating Achievements in Chamba

CHAMBA:
The Shining Star Awards 3.0 made a remarkable impact in Chamba, following a successful event in Dharamshala. The prestigious Darbar Hall at Pt Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College was filled with attendees on Sunday, June 8, 2025.

Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania attended as the chief guest. While presenting the awards, he encouraged the awardees to maintain their momentum of success and strive to create positive changes in society.

This year's event in Chamba was even more grand and inspiring than the previous year's, attracting hundreds of students, parents, and educational stakeholders from the region.

Eligibility Criteria for Awards

Students who achieved 80% or higher in their Class 10 and Class 12 board exams were recognized at this year's Chamba awards. The initiative aims to honor students not only for their academic achievements but also for their resilience and dedication in a competitive landscape.

The inaugural ceremony in Dharamshala saw an enthusiastic crowd of over 1,000 participants, including students, parents, educators, and dignitaries. Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri was the chief guest, honoring around 650 students who scored 85% or more in their board examinations.

During his address, Agnihotri referred to the event as a celebration of ambition, discipline, and vision, urging students to set lofty goals and contribute to the development of the state.

A Broader Mission Beyond Awards

Initiated by a leading digital news platform in Himachal Pradesh, the Shining Star Awards 3.0 represents more than just an awards ceremony; it is a movement aimed at uplifting and recognizing young achievers.

Supported by various educational institutions and organizations, the awards continue to expand their reach and impact. The Shining Star Awards 3.0 builds on the success of its previous editions, celebrating the hard work and academic excellence of Himachali youth while promoting their overall well-being.

Sunil Chadha, Executive Editor, highlighted the overarching goal of the awards: “We aim not only to recognize merit but also to shape a future with these bright individuals. Their success is our strength, and this acknowledgment is merely the beginning.” S. Gopal Puri, Political Editor, echoed this sentiment, stating, “Every student's success is supported by their parents, and today’s event is also a tribute to them.”

The initiative emphasizes a year-round commitment to the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of students. “The announcement of board results is an ideal time to connect with students, understand their aspirations, and provide necessary support,” said Abhinav Sharma, Head of Human Resources.

With the ceremonies in Dharamshala and Chamba setting a high standard, the Shining Star Awards 3.0 will soon extend its recognition efforts to other districts in Himachal Pradesh.
