The AYUSH Department hosted a significant yoga camp at the historic Chaurasi Temple complex to commemorate the 11th International Yoga Day. This year's theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” was embraced with great enthusiasm from the public, highlighting the global advantages of yoga.


Local MLA Dr. Janak Raj and Additional District Magistrate Kulbir Singh Rana were present at the event. The program began with a ceremonial lamp lighting in front of Lord Dhanvantari's image, followed by a guided yoga session.


Yoga demonstrations were led by Ayurvedic pharmacists Rajendra, Balwan, and Anil from the AYUSH Department, who engaged participants in various asanas, showcasing the physical and mental benefits of consistent practice.


In his speech, MLA Dr. Janak Raj wished everyone well for International Yoga Day and urged individuals to integrate yoga into their daily lives. He remarked, “Even with our hectic schedules, it is essential to allocate time for our health to positively impact our families, society, and nation.”


ADM Kulbir Singh Rana highlighted the significance of yoga and pranayama as priceless gifts from India. He stated, “These practices not only enhance physical health but also promote mental and spiritual harmony, helping individuals resist temptations like substance abuse.”


The event wrapped up with a collective commitment to practice yoga regularly. As part of the Green Yoga initiative, medicinal plants such as Ashwagandha, Sugandhwala, and Pashanbhed were planted on the temple grounds to encourage holistic health and environmental sustainability.


Attendees included notable figures such as Tehsildar Tej Ram, Sub-Divisional AYUSH Medical Officer Dr. Anuradha Sharma, Medical Officers Dr. Sukhwinder Singh, Dr. Aditya Sharma, and Dr. Seema Kumari, Welfare Officer Vikas Pakhretia, Zila Parishad Member Anil Dhakog, and Gram Panchayat Bharmour Pradhan Anil Kumar, along with many students and local residents.
