Alcaraz Triumphs at Queen's Club

London [UK], June 22: Rising Spanish tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz continued his impressive performance this season by clinching his fifth title, defeating Jiri Lehecka in the Queen's Club Championships final on Sunday.

The 22-year-old showcased his skills with a score of 7-5, 6-7(5), 6-2, marking his 21st title at the tour level and his second victory at Queen's Club, having won his first during his debut two years ago. Although this was Lehecka's inaugural grass-court final, he put up a commendable fight, but Alcaraz's superior talent proved decisive.

In a post-match interview, as reported by the ATP's official website, Alcaraz expressed, "This tournament holds a special place in my heart. I arrived without any expectations, aiming to play well and adapt to the grass surface. I was fortunate to have many friends and family here, which made me feel comfortable both on and off the court."

Alcaraz completed the match in two hours and eight minutes, becoming one of only five active players to achieve four or more titles on grass, joining the ranks of Novak Djokovic (8), Matteo Berrettini (4), Taylor Fritz (4), and Nicolas Mahut (4). The two-time defending Wimbledon champion is entering the tournament with an impressive 18-match winning streak, his longest to date.

Following an early exit against David Goffin at the ATP Masters 1000 in Miami, Alcaraz has made a remarkable comeback, boasting a record of 27-1 since then, with title wins in Monte Carlo, Rome, the French Open, and now Queen's Club. He has also widened his lead over second-placed Jannik Sinner in the ATP Live Race To Turin by 2,240 points.
