In New Delhi, Cameron Green has made a strong case for his inclusion in Australia's lineup for the crucial World Test Championship final against South Africa at Lord's next month. He achieved this by scoring his second century in just five matches while playing for Gloucestershire.

The young all-rounder has captivated fans with his outstanding performance in the County Championship since recovering from back surgery.

He marked his return with a century against Kent in mid-April, although he had to retire hurt due to cramping while celebrating his achievement.

Following that high, the 25-year-old faced a series of low scores. However, he showcased his batting skills in the rematch against Kent, dominating the opposition and reaching three figures with a powerful shot to the boundary.

Green celebrated his milestone with a proud stance, raising his bat and helmet to acknowledge the cheers from teammates and fans, sending a clear message to Australian selectors about his current form ahead of the WTC final.

"It was incredible. I really wanted to score well in front of the fans. They turned out in large numbers for both games I've played here, and experiencing them chant my name was fantastic," Green expressed, as reported by a Media House.

"I do feel a bit sorry for doing it against the same team, but you have to take your opportunities. We played some good shots, the crowd got excited, and it felt like we were really in control," he added.

Green's journey has been typical for young players, often struggling to maintain consistency due to the various roles he has played across formats.

In T20Is and ODIs, he has batted in nearly every position from one to eight for Australia. Meanwhile, his teammate Marnus Labuschagne faced a setback as he was dismissed for a duck by South Australia's Harry Conway after just seven balls.
