Chamblee's Take on LIV Golf's Viewer Engagement

Brandel Chamblee, an analyst for Golf Channel, has once again voiced his concerns regarding LIV Golf, questioning its effectiveness in drawing viewers despite featuring renowned players. In a conversation with sports radio host Dan Patrick prior to the Masters, Chamblee provided a candid evaluation of the rivalry between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf. He stated, “Even when LIV events are aired in the U.S. and conclude during primetime on the East Coast, they only attract between 35,000 to 50,000 viewers. In fact, pickleball has a larger audience than that. This is surprising given that top players like Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm are competing, yet they fail to engage a significant audience,” as reported by AwfulAnnouncing.com.

Since its inception nearly four years ago, with substantial financial backing from Saudi Arabia, LIV Golf aimed to rival the PGA Tour's supremacy. However, it continues to struggle with viewership numbers and is reportedly facing considerable financial setbacks.
