In Bhubaneswar, the Bhubaneswar Tigers proudly presented their new team jersey and mascot, ‘Paika’, during a press event on Friday, marking the kickoff for the second season of the Bharat Masala Odisha T20 League – CM Trophy. The event attracted influencers and media representatives, where the team showcased their jersey and mascot, followed by engaging discussions with players and officials. The design of the jersey draws inspiration from the fierce nature of tigers, featuring distinctive claw stripes. The team has adopted the cheer ‘Raampi Chalo’, which means ‘claw ahead’ in Odia.


Key figures at the unveiling included team manager Sahil Magoo, senior player Rakesh Pattanaik, vice-captain Rajesh Mohanty, bowling coach Bibhudatta Panda, captain Swastik Samal, and head coach Subit Biswal. Coach Subit expressed confidence in the team's preparations, stating, “We have a well-rounded squad that combines experience with youth. We are ready to make an impact.” The tournament is scheduled to commence on September 20 at the renowned Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, featuring six teams vying for the championship. The competition will continue until September 29, with franchises eager to establish their presence in this season's T20 league. The Bhubaneswar Tigers are now focused on their upcoming matches, determined to start strong and contend for the title.
