Leopards Set the Pace with 174 Runs

In a gripping match at the Holkar Stadium in Indore, the Bhopal Leopards showcased a remarkable all-round performance, defeating the Indore Pink Panthers, led by Venkatesh Iyer, by 27 runs in the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup 2026.

Winning the toss, the Leopards chose to bat first. Their opening pair, Tanishq Yadav and Rahul Chandrol, provided a strong foundation, accumulating 47 runs before Chandrol was dismissed by Shivam Shukla, scoring 21 runs off 13 balls.

Yadav then partnered with captain Aniket Verma, adding 38 runs for the second wicket. Yadav finished with 39 runs from 29 balls, while Verma contributed 26 runs off 20 deliveries.

Despite a promising start, the Leopards struggled during the middle and death overs as the Panthers' bowlers effectively employed a short-ball strategy. Himanshu Shinde attempted to stabilize the innings with a commendable 44 runs off 29 balls, but consistent wickets hindered the Leopards' progress, leading to their total of 174 runs.

Roshan Kewat emerged as the standout bowler for the Panthers, taking 3 wickets for 26 runs in his four-over spell.

Panthers' Chase Stumbles Amidst Pressure

In response, the Leopards' bowlers dominated the innings, consistently taking wickets and leaving the Panthers struggling at 62 for 6 within just 8.1 overs.
