Bhopal Leopards Ready for New Season

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], June 10: After a disappointing finish in the 2024 Madhya Pradesh League final, the Bhopal Leopards are gearing up for a fresh start as the new season kicks off on June 12 at the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Shankarpur, Gwalior, as per a statement from the team.


The Leopards will launch their 2025 season on June 13 against the Jabalpur Royal Lions. The team has been diligently preparing, conducting intensive net sessions under floodlights to mimic actual match scenarios.


During a recent practice session, Bhopal Leopards owner Abhishek Mohan Gupta expressed optimism, stating, “We have had ample time to train effectively with our squad this year. Practicing under floodlights has been beneficial, and we are confident about our upcoming campaign,” according to the team's release.


Having narrowly missed out on the championship last year, the Bhopal Leopards have strategically enhanced their lineup, aiming for a more robust and competitive team.


“Our goal this year is to advance further than last season. We are concentrating on fortifying our squad and filling specific roles. This year, we have a more balanced team, and I believe our preparation for the Madhya Pradesh League will lead us to success,” Gupta added.


Gupta also shared insights into the franchise's aspirations, saying, “The vision for Bhopal Leopards is to play with passion and pride, giving our all on the field. We prioritize the process, and when that is right, success will follow.”


The Madhya Pradesh League, organized by the Gwalior Division Cricket Association (GDCA) under the auspices of the MP Cricket Association, is set to commence on June 12. The men's teams include Gwalior Cheetahs, Bhopal Leopards, Jabalpur Royal Lions, Rewa Jaguars, Indore Pink Panthers, Chambal Ghariyals, and Bundelkhand Bulls, while the women's teams consist of Chambal Ghariyals, Bhopal Wolves, and Bundelkhand Bulls.
