Bharat Arun's New Role with Lucknow Super Giants

Lucknow: Bharat Arun, the former bowling coach for India, has recently concluded his association with Kolkata Knight Riders and is set to join Lucknow Super Giants in the same role, with an official announcement anticipated shortly.

A source familiar with the situation confirmed, "Yes, Arun has joined LSG, and a formal announcement is expected soon."

Previously, Arun was part of KKR, but following a disappointing eighth-place finish in 2025, the franchise owned by Shah Rukh Khan is restructuring its coaching team, with Abhishek Nayar and Dwayne Bravo taking charge.

As a result, both Arun and fellow veteran Chandrakant Pandit have parted ways with KKR.

In a similar vein, LSG is also making adjustments to their support staff after finishing seventh in the last season.

The bowling performance of LSG was subpar last season, largely due to the limited participation of India's fastest bowler, Mayank Yadav, who played in only two matches.

Arun is highly regarded for his strategic insights and his ability to develop promising fast bowlers, making him one of the most respected bowling coaches in Indian cricket.

Further updates are awaited regarding the renewal of contracts for LSG's mentor Zaheer Khan, whose one-year contract is up, and head coach Justin Langer, who has been with the team for a couple of seasons.
