Bengaluru Open Returns for Its 10th Edition

The Bengaluru Open is gearing up for its significant 10th edition, set to occur from January 5 to 11, 2026, at the S M Krishna Tennis Stadium in Bengaluru. This prestigious event on the ATP Challenger Tour is recognized as one of India's leading international tennis tournaments, according to an official announcement.


Tournament Upgraded to Challenger 125

In 2025, the tournament was elevated from an ATP Challenger 100 to a Challenger 125 event, boasting a total prize pool exceeding USD 225,000. This upgrade has attracted elite players globally, ensuring a highly competitive atmosphere and solidifying its status on the international tennis calendar.


Sumit Nagal to Represent India

As the excitement of international tennis returns to Bengaluru, Sumit Nagal will spearhead India's representation at this landmark event. A former champion from 2017, Sumit is one of India's top singles players, having competed in the Olympics and secured multiple ATP Challenger titles. He will be joined by Aryan Shah, a rising star in Indian tennis, known for his consistent performances on the ITF and ATP Challenger circuits.


Impressive International Player Lineup

The main draw for the 2026 edition features a formidable roster of international competitors, including ATP Tour titleholder and former Top-100 player Pedro Martinez from Spain, Daniel Evans from Great Britain, a former ATP Top-25 player and Davis Cup regular, and Lloyd Harris from South Africa, a former Top-35 player and US Open quarterfinalist.
