NorthEast United FC Secures Midfielder Bekey Oram

New Delhi, June 16: NorthEast United FC has officially announced that talented midfielder Bekey Oram has agreed to a contract extension, ensuring his commitment to the Highlanders through the conclusion of the 2028 season, as stated by the Indian Super League (ISL).

Since joining the team for the 2023-24 season, Bekey has participated in 18 matches across various competitions, including the ISL, Super Cup, and Durand Cup. His versatility allows him to excel in both midfield and defensive roles, demonstrating composure and tactical awareness.

Bekey played a crucial part in NorthEast United FC's victory at the 40th Sikkim Governor's Gold Cup and gained essential experience in the Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL), contributing to his growth as a player.

"I am thrilled to extend my time with the Highlanders. I appreciate the coaching staff and management for their confidence in me," Bekey expressed, as reported by the ISL's official platform.

He further added, "The last two years have been vital in my development as both a player and an individual. Winning the Durand Cup and the Sikkim Governor's Gold Cup were memorable experiences, and I am eager to continue evolving and aiding the club's success."

NorthEast United FC's head coach, Juan Pedro Benali, shared his thoughts on Bekey Oram's contract renewal.
