Becky Lynch, who previously showcased an outstanding performance at the first Evolution premium live event, is gearing up for another title defense at WWE Evolution 2025 this weekend. The WWE Raw General Manager, Adam Pearce, has officially confirmed a new match featuring the current mid-card champion, enhancing the event's lineup.
Following weeks of rivalry among three competitors from the Raw roster, a title match has been arranged where Becky Lynch will defend her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. This matchup was revealed in a video shared by Pearce last night, which also mentioned Lynch's live appearance on tonight's episode of Raw.
Pearce stated, “I can now confirm that Becky Lynch will defend her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria in a triple threat match, and The Man will be live on the flagship Monday night to discuss it.”
In the aftermath of Wrestlemania 41, Valkyria initially held onto her title at Backlash, but Lynch triumphed in a Last Chance match at Money in the Bank to claim the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Recently on Raw, Lyra interfered during Lynch’s first title defense against Bayley, allowing Becky to retain her title via disqualification.
This upcoming match on the June 23 episode of Raw is expected to be Lynch's sole title defense. Following the disqualification in the title match, Bayley and Valkyria faced off on Raw last week to determine the new Number-One Contender for the Women’s Intercontinental Title, but their match ended in a double pin, leading to the triple threat match at WWE Evolution 2025.

WWE Evolution 2025 Match Card
The WWE Evolution 2025 event, dedicated to women's professional wrestling, is set to take place on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
