BCCI Unveils Updated Schedule for India's 2025 Home Matches
India's 2025 Home Fixtures Announced
On Monday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a revised schedule for the international home matches in 2025, including updated venues for the South Africa A tour. The Indian men's senior team is set to face the West Indies and South Africa in a series comprising all three formats: Test, ODI, and T20I, commencing on October 2. Fans are eagerly anticipating the return of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to the field in the blue jersey after Kohli's retirement from Test cricket. They will have the opportunity to see the dynamic duo play on November 30 in Ranchi, December 3 in Raipur, and December 6 in Vizag for the three-match ODI series against South Africa.
Men's Schedule Adjustments
The two-match Test series against the West Indies is scheduled to kick off on October 2, 2025, in Ahmedabad. The second Test, originally planned for Kolkata, has been relocated to the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
The South Africa series will begin on November 14 at Kolkata's Eden Gardens, instead of New Delhi as initially planned.
Women's Schedule Changes
Due to renovations at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, the opening matches of the women's series will now take place at the New PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh, with the final ODI being held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
Additional Venues for South Africa A Tour
In October 2025, the South Africa Men's A team will tour India for five matches, including two multi-day games and three one-day matches. The multi-day matches are set to occur at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, as previously arranged.
However, the one-day matches, initially scheduled for the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, will now be held at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
