BCCI Unveils Revised Schedule for IPL 2025 Amidst Tensions

IPL 2025 Resumes After Suspension
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released an updated timetable for the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. This decision follows a week-long suspension prompted by escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
The suspension was initiated after the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamshala was halted after just 10.1 overs due to air raid warnings in nearby areas such as Jammu, Pathankot, and Jaisalmer. This alert was triggered after Pakistan launched missiles into Indian territory, which were successfully intercepted by Indian defense forces.
Following a ceasefire between the two nations, the BCCI moved forward with plans to resume the tournament, instructing all teams to gather their players by Tuesday. The revised schedule indicates that the IPL will restart on May 17, featuring two double-header days, with the final match now scheduled for June 3, a shift from the original date of May 25.
BCCI is excited to announce the continuation of TATA IPL 2025, which will include 17 matches across six venues, starting on May 17 and concluding with the final on June 3. The updated schedule features two double-headers on consecutive Sundays.
