Despite concerns that veteran wrestler Bayley might miss out on Wrestlemania 41, WWE has arranged a match for her at this major event. She is set to compete for a title alongside another champion from the current Raw roster, aiming to secure her third championship title.

A new championship bout was confirmed for Wrestlemania 41 after the latest WWE Smackdown episode. In the opening match of the April 11 show, Bayley and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria triumphed in a Gauntlet Match, earning the opportunity to challenge the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

In a video exclusive to Smackdown, Bayley and Valkyria shared their thoughts on their unexpected title match opportunity. Wearing shirts representing their tag-team partners, they discussed their journey leading up to the premium live event. Lyra, reflecting on her first-time partnership with Bayley, expressed excitement about their chemistry, stating, “We just ran through the very best that the women’s division has to offer and I’m going to WrestleMania with the Role Model!”

Bayley reminisced about her long-standing connection with Lyra, which began years ago at a WWE fan event. She expressed her hope of winning the tag team gold for the third time, a title that marked her initial significant achievement, saying, “I’ve been a tag team champion in the past, I’m the first ever. And I’m a two-time, so if I become a three times the charm, I’m honored to be able to do that with you.”

Bayley and Sasha Banks made history in 2019 by winning the inaugural Elimination Chamber match, becoming the first women’s tag team champions in WWE. They later reclaimed the title in 2020. If Bayley and Lyra succeed against Morgan and Rodriguez at Wrestlemania 41, Bayley will achieve her third title reign.

The Wrestlemania 41 premium live event will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 19 and 20. Currently, 13 matches have been confirmed for this highly anticipated event, as outlined below:
