Bangladesh Set to Host India for ODI and T20I Series Amid Uncertainty
Bangladesh Cricket Board Announces Series Against India
Dhaka: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially confirmed that India will visit for a series consisting of three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) scheduled for September this year.
Despite this announcement, it remains uncertain whether the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will agree to send its team to Bangladesh, given the current political instability in the country.
As per the BCB's statement, the ODIs are set to take place on September 1, 3, and 6, followed by the T20Is on September 9, 12, and 13.
The Indian squad is expected to arrive in Bangladesh on August 28 to kick off their limited-overs series.
Last year, India's planned tour of Bangladesh was postponed indefinitely, with the six-match white-ball series delayed for over a year.
In a statement released in July, the BCCI noted, 'The Bangladesh Cricket Board and the Board of Control for Cricket in India have mutually agreed to postpone the white-ball series, which includes three ODIs and three T20Is, from August 2025 to September 2026.'
This decision was made after discussions between the two boards, considering the international commitments and scheduling preferences of both teams.
The BCB expressed its eagerness to host India in September 2026 for this highly anticipated series, with revised dates and fixtures to be announced later.
