This remarkable victory propelled the fourth-seeded Indian team into the finals of the Singapore Open Super 750 tournament on Saturday. The semifinal match lasted 52 minutes, with the Indians triumphing 21-19, 21-18 against the reigning world champions.

Meanwhile, in the mixed doubles semifinals, Indian players Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto faced defeat against the Japanese team of Yuichi Shimogami and Sayaka Hobara, with scores of 16-21, 21-17, and 13-21.

The men’s doubles semifinal was a tightly contested match, with Ho and Jae leading 13-11 at the break of the first game. However, Satwik and Chirag managed to stay competitive and executed a remarkable comeback, securing the first game. They faced challenges in the second game as well, trailing 11-14 at the halfway point. Nevertheless, the Indian duo maintained their composure and surprised their Korean opponents by turning the match around.

This victory was a significant relief for the Indian players, who had to navigate through various challenges, including service return issues. They not only outperformed the renowned doubles player Seo Seung-jae but also overcame deficits in both sets. Chirag expressed their strategy, stating, "The way we were playing, we supported one another even when we were losing. We knew that if we stuck to our plans, they would eventually falter. Points would come, and we believed that."
